What is RDI?

The Office of Relevancy, Diversity, and Inclusion (RDI) champions an organizational culture that is inclusive and participatory.  We work to embed best practices into the agency, as well as provide support to those who need it.

The NPS defines relevancy, diversity, and inclusion as (1) Relevancy is achieved when all Americans are able to establish a personal connection to the NPS and its mission. (2) Diversity represents the practice of incorporating people of different backgrounds, perspectives, and beliefs throughout the organization. This ensures that the NPS is advantaged by the best thinking possible. (3) Inclusion is the practice of building a culture that is flexible. An inclusive culture values diverse ideas and embraces the meaningful participation of all.
