What We Do

The New Division Chief Leadership Development Program (NDCLDP) targets new Division Chiefs within their first two years of assignment.  The program’s focus is on enhancing a new Division Chief’s effectiveness as a management team member.

Program Format

The NDCLDP uses a blended-learning approach over a six-month period.  Cohort members participate in:

  • Four webinars
  • Two residential courses

These webinars and courses cover the following competencies: Human Capital Management, Conflict Management, Influencing and Negotiating, Partnering, Political Savvy, Accountability, Team Building, Systems Thinking, Financial Management, and Time Management.

The program is on hiatus for FY 2019.
