  1. Really enjoyed all these activities. They’ve been a great tool, not only to dive back into these skills, but also to recommend to others to hone a specific aspect of their program. I am looking forward to Finding Your Site’s Stories and Finding New Ways to Look at Old Places.

These activities have been so useful to me as an interpreter (sharpening my skills), as an ACE trainer (great followup resource to give folks who have been through training), and as a supervisor (to introduce interpreters to ACE concepts and/or reinforce their knowledge)! The field-based examples and opportunities for sharing in these activities are thoughtful and effective at demonstrating the universal and diverse usefulness of ACE.

  3. Excellent activities, definitely recommending these to my rangers. The activities really help hone interpretive skills with an emphasis on ACE. Easy to manage and understand and accessible to even the beginning level interpreter.

  4. I can not say enough good things about these learning activities. They are a good self-check for myself, as well a good tool to point to others when coaching folks on a particular part of their submission on the Interpretation Feedback Community. I think the “Exploring Dialogic Questions activity” is especially useful to think about questions that are ORACLE – the only right answer comes from lived experience, that are also inviting, non-judgmental, inclusive, and generative! Seeing example questions and how they measure up to the above standards really helps me hone my own dialogic questions I ask during my programs!

These activities are a good way to jump start your brain and all it’s interpretive power at the beginning of a season…or even in the middle when you want to try something new or are stuck in a rut! As a seasoned interpreter I even found myself finding new insights into the tools and my own programs.
