Learning & Performance Ecosystem Architecture Project (LEAP) Team
In June 2016, L&D leadership formed a new project team to assess the current state of learning and performance in the NPS and support our evolving Learning & Development strategy. This effort arose out of recommendations by the Learning & Development Advisory Council (LDAC) and draws on principles from the Learning & Performance Ecosystem Model described in a recent white paper co-authored by Marc J. Rosenberg and Steve Foreman.
The newly-formed Learning & Performance Ecosystem Architecture Project (LEAP) team used agile processes to assess the current state of learning and performance (L&P) in the NPS according to the building blocks and components of the L&P Ecosystem Model by:
- Capturing diverse viewpoints on L&P from across the NPS
- Mapping findings against the ecosystem construct
- Providing evidence-based findings & recommendations
After reviewing key documents and engaging with national, regional, and unit-level staff to gain a better understanding of strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities related to the way we learn, develop, and grow in the workplace, the LEAP team shared initial findings and recommendations at the Forging Our Future training event in August 2016.
The team consisted of the following members:
