The NPS Workforce and Budget Planning Toolkit lays out a flexible process to help you make workforce and budget planning decisions. Since each park and program’s needs are different, you can tailor, expand or rework any of the steps to meet your specifications.
What You’ll Find
The toolkit starts by asking 5 questions:
- What do you have today?
- Where do you want to be?
- What are your constraints and opportunities?
- What does your target org look like?
- How can you get there?
From these questions you will start the process of understanding your current needs and limitations, and then set and prioritize goals. You will also find out how to address the gaps between what you need, what you have and what you can afford. Each step has a purpose, product and helpful tools for you to use in the process.
