Overview
The Museum Management Program published a series of Curatorial Safety Messages. The series of short bulletins covers a range of important safety subjects related to museums and collections. Subjects include emergency management plans, handling rusty, metal objects in park collections, safe handling and surveying techniques, and numerous others. Employees new to museum management tasks, such as collateral duty employees, may benefit from reviewing these bulletins as they begin learning new duties related to collections. The museum environment introduces unique challenges to maintaining the safety of both collections and our employees.
