Interagency Aviation Training (IAT)


Most agencies in DOI, including the NPS, utilize aircraft to support and/or accomplish many of their programs and projects. These aircraft users are as many and varied as the types of aircraft used. Aviation training, whether it’s basic, specialized, or management based, is one method to increase safety awareness and is instrumental in using aircraft in a more efficient and safe manner.

What you’ll find

The Interagency Aviation Training (IAT) Education, Qualification, and Currency System was developed under the direction of the National Interagency Aviation Council (NIAC) for the establishment of aviation training standards for natural resource agency personnel.
