Integrated Pest Management – Human Health and Perimeter Invaders


This course covers specific Integrated Pest Management (IPM) skills and information relating to pest-borne diseases, transmission threats, disease prevention and invertebrate pest management.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, you should be able to:

  • Identify tick and mosquito species in the mid-Atlantic states
  • Understand pest biology and disease transmission threats
  • Learn how to prevent bites and infection and what diagnostic and treatment options are available
  • Prevent and manage insects and other invertebrates that enter buildings through perimeter openings
