Overview

A picture says a thousand words.

The Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) and Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS) collections are among the largest and most used within the Library of Congress’s Prints and Photographs Division. ¬†The collection documents American¬†achievements in architecture, engineering, and landscape design. ¬†Check back often, because as HABS/HAER/HALS documentation continues to grow, so too will their online collection.
