Open Enrollment Process
The GOAL Academy open enrollment process occurs once a year (typically in May – June) and is initiated with an announcement generated by the Washington Office to the field. Applications are accepted during a 2 – 3 week period.

Open enrollment for the FY21 GOAL Academy program is May 20 – June 10, 2020. Applications are due by midnight Eastern Time on June 10, 2020.
How to Apply
- Review the eligibility criteria and FAQ for the GOAL Academy program.
- Verify that you can meet all program expectations and obligations as outlined in the document FY21 GOAL Academy Overview_Participant Expectations Training Schedule
- Open the FY21 GOAL Academy Application Form Preview and prepare your responses in advance of submitting them online in the next step. This document includes additional application instructions, helpful hints, and the actual questions contained in the online application.
- Submit your responses at FY21 GOAL Academy Application. (Note: This link opens a Microsoft Form on which you enter your responses)
What Happens Next?
After the open enrollment period closes, WASO compiles all of the applications and submits them to regional panelists who rate the applications. Each region determines its final participant selections and should notify you of your results by the end of July.
