Overview
As part of the NPS focus on youth, through this program, Girl Scouts will develop an understanding of, and appreciation for, the National Park Service mission of preserving unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this course, you should be able to:
- Understand the new Girl Scout Ranger Program Model
- Explain the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, and Girl Scouts of the USA organizational structure
- Learn how parks can support the implementation of Girl Scout program (Journeys, badges, Take Action projects, and Highest Award projects)
- Understand the new online resources and publications to support successful coordination of scouting experiences in parks
