Overview

The American Association of Physical Anthropologists (AAPA) is a professional organization for physical anthropologists, those who study the adaptations, variability, and evolution of human beings and their living and fossil relatives within the context of human culture and behavior. The AAPA was founded in 1930 and currently the largest association for physical anthropology – drawing more than a thousand participants from all over the world to its annual meetings.
